The Illinois main quad, rebuilt from public lidar

A 450 by 600 metre crop of the main quad as a gaussian splat you can fly around in the browser. The shape of every building, path and tree comes from a public airborne lidar survey rather than from photographs of the site, and the splat is trained on renders of that survey.

This is the bird's-eye version. Drag to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom, two fingers or right-drag to pan. On a phone it works the same way. It streams about 20 MB to open and more as you zoom in, so give it a moment on a slow connection.
